The father of Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal appears to have announced his engagement to his partner, who is 16 years his junior. Yamal’s team will face Club Brugge in the Champions League this Wednesday.
Yamal has been nothing short of a phenomenon in La Liga since breaking into the ranks of Barcelona’s La Masia in 2023. He was runner-up for this year’s Ballon d’Or and was key for Spain in their Euro 2024 triumph.
The 18-year-old has the support of his father, Mounir Nasraoui, a painter born in Morocco. Yamal’s parents separated when he was three years old, but they were both present during his childhood.
Now, her father has taken to social media and appears to have announced that he is engaged to his partner, Khristina. The superstar’s father is 39 years old and it seems that he will marry the 23-year-old.
Nasraoui uploaded a post to his 1.3 million followers on Instagram, accompanied by a black heart emoji and an engagement ring emoji. The photo shows him and Khristina together on a balcony.
The couple has a 16-year age difference and some fans made their true feelings known in the post, with a wave of quite critical comments about the age difference.

It’s unclear when they started dating, but there are plenty of photos of them on social media. Some show them at a Barcelona match in matching shirts, while others show them cooking together.
Yamal’s father is no stranger to the spotlight, as he has been very outspoken about how Barcelona and others have treated his son in the past.
He claimed PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé winning the Ballon d’Or over Yamal was a “moral injustice” earlier this year. Nasraoui told El Chiringuito TV: “I think this is the greatest, I will not say robbery, but moral damage done to a human being.
“I think Lamine Yamal is the best player in the world by far, by a considerable margin. It’s not because he’s my son, but because he’s the best player in the world.

“I think there are no rivals. Lamine is Lamine Yamal. Something extraordinary has happened here. Next year there will be a Spanish winner of the Ballon d’Or.”
Earlier this month, he added to this outburst by allegedly confronting club executives about how they supported Yamal in his Ballon d’Or bid. Nasraoui allegedly lashed out at some of Barcelona’s hierarchy, claiming that they valued his teammate Raphinha more than him in the race for the award.
He was also reportedly critical of his son’s overall treatment and called for more recognition as well as some special benefits and privileges for the 18-year-old striker.
Yamal’s father helped negotiate a new contract for his prodigy son at Camp Nou last year. This contract is reported to be worth up to £230,000 per week and will last until 2030.
